6-Week Programs are for those who are or will become “addicted” to Pole Dancing, Chair Dancing, and F.I.T. (Fun Intensive Training) variety classes.  All programs are designed to incorporate the moves the students learn into a progressive choreography aimed at developing individual skill, strength and grace.

Pole Dancing includes different accents, inversions, maneuvers, moves, poses, spins, and suspensions on and with the pole – as well as sexy floor work with a blanket – incorporating blanket spins – that you were dying to try out! 

Chair Dancing includes different accents, chair moves, pivots, dance steps, sensual floor work, poses, and spins, that will challenge your agility, strength and creativity!

F.I.T. Classes include a variety of cardiovascular exercise routines incorporating flexibility, muscular endurance, and strength training in a fun and exciting setting using anything and everything available in studio!

Pole Dance 1 is perfect for those who wish to achieve a solid grounding of the basics and for those who have more than just a passing interest in pole dancing. Definitely recommended for "newbies" or "pole dance virgins". Belly-Pole is our newest and exciting offering of customized classes that combines the fundamentals of belly-dancing with beginner pole dancing spins! The classes in this set are meant for both absolute beginners to intermediate and experienced dancers who want to learn sensual belly dance movements combined with pole spins in a fun and mutually supportive environment. Ready to step it up a notch? Intended for those who wish to refresh their pole dancing skills or who want to move beyond the beginner level. Pole Dance 2 expands on the basic repertoire of moves in Pole Dance 1. More pole moves, pole spins, and floor work -- as well as more hip and flirty dance moves -- are incorporated into new, easy-to-learn choreographed routines. This course is designed to be taken concurrently and/or in sequence with Pole Dance 1. Recommended for those that wish to master the basics and to build the foundation necessary for intermediate and advanced levels of pole dancing.

Pole Dance 3 takes the basic skills learned in Pole Dance 1 and Pole Dance 2, and challenges the now experienced dancer with intermediate level pole moves, pole spins, floor work, and dance moves. Pole Dance 3 then introduces basic inverts and suspensions on the pole. Choreographed routines are still included in these sessions, with a growing emphasis on transitional moves and accents to provide the dancer with a sense of flow and grace to their choreography. Upon completing Pole Dance 3, this next course takes you, the aspiring Pole Dance Diva to an even higher level of performance. This course includes the advanced pole work, complex inverts, and suspensions that demonstrate flexibility, balance, strength, and creativity. Pole Dance 4 encourages you to put together your own freestyle choreography for an entire song and to even dance around several poles! Congratulations on completing Pole Dance 4! You're one hardcore Pole Dance Vixxen! After mastering the basic, intermediate, and advanced pole work in the previous four Pole Dance courses, you are now ready for the more advanced pole work and choreography of Pole Dance 5. For those who love pole acrobatics and is a daredevil at heart and body…"Cirque du Pole" offers our most daring and seemingly gravity-defying inverts and suspensions for the most advanced pole dancers! This is a highly technical-driven course showcasing very advanced floor work coupled with very advanced pole moves including: handstands and elbowstands against the pole, splits, spinning, super advanced pole suspensions, highly complicated spins, inverts and more! Pole Dance 7: "Pole Acrobat" is a continuation of the advanced moves taught in Pole Dance 6, and is for the most advanced students who are addicted to pole acrobatics. Focusing on advanced pole techniques and building upon the moves of the previous levels, this course will include: handstand-full layout-to-split combinations, advanced rip curls, superman combinations, full and side layout mounts, extended holds, and more combinations of the advanced moves from Pole Dance 6. "Advanced Pole Dancing" is also a 6-week class that combines Levels 5, 6, & 7. F.I.T. & Flexibility classes are geared for individuals craving challenging and killer workouts that deliver the fastest results for a FIT-for-Pole body. This is the fastest-paced program at Pole Dance Studio specifically designed to fast-track your body for getting fit in F.I.T. (Fun Intensive Training). Pole moves and spins are customized based on client's ability. Some experience in pole work is required, as this is an intermediate to advanced program (recommended Level 2 or higher).

This continuous 6-week program is a customized personal training module that incorporates elements of:

No, girls, this isn’t “Lap Dancing and Striptease” … this is CHAIR dancing! This unique form of dance is similar to Cabaret and MTV-style choreography as seen in music videos by the likes of Carmen Electra, The Pussycat Dolls and Britney Spears (before Federline!). Check out Britney’s video, “Stronger”, for a glimpse into how sexy and challenging Chair Dancing can be!

Similar to Pole Dancing, Chair Dancing combines the art of sensual dance with one’s core strength – in conjunction with a chair as one’s “dance partner” – to create an intriguing and eye-catching performance that is also a killer workout…as your arms, abs and legs will soon discover!

Chair Dance 1 will include: cardio-striptease warm-up, sexy stretching, basic and intermediate chair moves, poses, spins, dance steps, chair pivots and floor work instruction which will be combined into a progressive, easy-to-learn choreography taught at a pace everyone can follow.

With the skills learned in the previous "Sensual Movement" workshop, it's now time to combine the movements and techniques into several graceful and sultry routines! (Completion of "Sensual Movement" workshop recommended prior to taking "Sensual Striptease")

This workshop will focus on Lap Dance, Chair Dance, and Burlesque choreographies, as well as incorporating accessories (hats, boas, and blankets) and the art of striptease into all three dance forms.  Students will review basic floor work then transition to more exciting floor work. The routines are easy to learn and elegant when performed to select music. Emphasis will be on transitioning movement so you end up with sexy routines.

To benefit fully from the Striptease instruction, we recommend you bring extra layers of clothing that you wish to learn how to strip off.  Some suggestions: an extra bra to wear over your top, a cardigan with buttons or zipper, a long-sleeved or short-sleeved shirt or top, a spaghetti-strap top, pants (loose fitting at the bottom), shorts, or a wrap-skirt, or any other article of clothing that you wish to learn how to remove. Tight-fitting jeans are not recommended.

For the most daring of students, fishnet stockings, bustiers, and pasties for the Burlesque instruction are optional.  Nudity is neither encouraged nor expected … we promise!

Borrowing on the concept of the "fluidity bar", the pole becomes the means for your body weight to use resistance and engage your muscles to work together for "muscle integration" while focusing on fluidity of movements. The objective is to develop strength, proportion, and flexibility from head to toe, creating a longer and leaner look.

Pole Fluidity programs are 1.5-hour workshops that  focus on proper pole dancing movement and technique while developing flexibility, muscle tone, and strength.  Fluid and graceful dance transitions are emphasized throughout the series of workshops.

A workshop aimed for absolute beginners with or without a dance background. No pole dancing experience required!

Can also be taken by experienced dancers if they want to focus on the fundamentals of body movement and techniques required for pole dancing rather than acrobatic moves requiring strength on the pole. 

Throughout this workshop, you will develop a solid foundation of dance movement required for basic pole dancing. Instruction will focus on body contouring, body isolations, core movement, arm positioning, styling, hair flips, hip accents, and basic transitional movements in pole dancing. Students will become comfortable with moving around the pole in preparation for pole spins.  Moves will be incorporated into simple routines or choreographies.

For experienced pole dancers only!  Ideal for advanced students who have not attended Pole Dance Studio for several months or who have some previous pole dancing experience and wish to refresh their knowledge of intermediate to advanced pole spins and combos, layouts, inverts and suspensions but still want to focus on proper body movement, positioning and transitions.

This workshop revisits and reinforces pole-climbing, pole holds, side and full layouts, plus body positioning techniques in preparation for proper inversions and suspensions on the pole.  Instruction will include intermediate and advanced floor work, spins, and spin combinations throughout the program.  Fluid transitional movements between advanced techniques will be emphasized.

Recommended for students who have completed Pole Dance level 2 or higher, who are comfortable climbing and holding their own weight on the pole, and/or who have previous pole dancing experience. Emphasis will still be fluid transitions between movements combines with strength pole moves.

Practice Sessions are maximum 1-hour freestyle studio sessions open to all students (FREE to Members). Non-members pay a drop-in fee of $15 (plus HST) or can purchase Punch Cards. Practice Sessions are only open to all students of all levels currently registered in Pole Dance Studio 6-week programs (including F.I.T. and Chair Dancing).

Practice the moves and choreography from the previous lesson or experiment with the moves and variations to create your own routines. You may bring your own MP3 player or CD music. The studio has a hook-up for an MP3 player and a CD player.

Practice Sessions do not guarantee individual poles. Minimal supervision but no instruction provided. Practice Session times are subject to change without due notice.
